Dan Ratner

Serial entrepreneur, author, engineer, and life tourist. Dan has started companies in IT consulting, telecoms, and e-commerce. With his wife, Genevieve, he founded and operated Sittercity, the nation's first and largest site for matching parents and babysitters, petsitters, elder care, tutors, and housesitters, and still serve on the board. More recently he served as Director of Development at Obama for America and am now working as a co-founder of Public Good Software.

Dan is also interested in public service work, with especial interest in social enterprise, both for and not-for profit. He serves on the boards of Open Books, Chicago's leading literacy organization and Fulcrum Point New Music Project. He is a Chicago native and tireless advocate.
